Field of Flowers by Katharine Watson for Moda

A Quilter's Garden, 342 River St, Montpelier VT 05602

Katharine approaches most projects the same way, beginning with a sketch that is translated to a linoleum block and then carved by hand and eventually ending up on fabric. The inspiration for this collection was a big bouquet of garden flowers, collected in the early fall when everything is at it's peak. Katharine used dahlias, zinnias, fennel, feverfew, and more collected from her own garden as the source material for her block print designs.
